John Meredith Lead Application Design Architect

Originally starting out with a career as a geophysicist, John switched lanes 13 years ago and has been a Health Informatics professional working in the NHS ever since. During this time he has have completed a Master's Degree in Health Informatics and has commenced PhD research into clinical interoperability standards with University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

Over the course of his career, John has worked within a variety of health informatics disciplines. These have encompassed service management, performance improvement, information and business analysis in addition to software architecture. His current role with the NHS Wales Informatics Service as a Lead Applications Design Architect is part of the National Applications Design Team. They are responsible for the design, on-going refinement and evolution of National Applications and their interoperability as defined by the NHS Wales Applications Strategy.
