SCATA's 30th Anniversary Annual Scientific Meeting and Joint Meeting with BCS Health Scotland 22-23 May 2017

Dear SCATA Member
I apologise for the lack of communication from SCATA in recent months.
Unfortunately our bulk mailer broke around the start of the year and it has been difficult finding a suitable replacement but hopefully this email will reach you and serve as an update.

We are looking forward to our joint meeting with BCS Health Scotland at the Strathclyde Technology & Innovation Centre in central Glasgow on 22nd and 23rd May.
Online booking has been available for a few weeks and I would encourage you to visit the web site and have a look at the scientific programme that we are putting together.
The theme of the meeting is Technology in Peri-operative Medicine and will include presentations from colleagues in the United States under our reciprocal speaker arrangement with the STA.
There will be free paper sessions on both days with a £300 first prize for the best paper from a trainee, as judged by three members of the organising committee.
The Free Paper session is filling up fast so if you have something you'd like to present, please follow the guide on the meetings page for submission.
9 External CPD points have been applied for from the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
There are a number of hotels within easy walking distance of the venue, the closest is the Premier Inn City Centre George Street

We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow in May. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the organising committee by email [[email protected]]

Regards,
Dr J Grant Forrest
Chairman, Webmaster and Joint Organiser ASM 2017
