Committee roles

There are a number of open committee roles for members wishing to get more involved in the Society. If you can spare an hour or so a month (at most!) please contact me (JP) at the address above for a chat about roles and possibilities.  We usually begin committee terms around the annual members' meeting but are entirely flexible on this.

OpenEHR Ventilator Modelling Group

Thank you to the SCATA members that contributed to the complex use cases - the comments and suggestions have been integrated with the documentation. We still have an option to do a complex paedatric use case. If there are any paeds intensivists willing to contribute, please get in touch either by email or via Slack.

The 4th openEHR Asia summit was held on April 29, 2021. One of the group members, Dr Shinji Kobayashi (Japan) gave a presentation on ITU data standardisation with OpenEHR models - his presentation starts at 32:02 in the video:

You can follow some of the group discussion on the OpenEHR Perioperative thread.

I (Grant) also re-visited the somewhat lengthy thread on the New Zealand AIMS specification on discourse.digitalhealth.net. We are creeping at glacial pace toward a global digital perioperative community but I'd like to see SCATA take a leading role so please chip in with your thoughts on how we can become more internationally-focused.

Interopen have rescheduled their Maternity and PHR Hackathon for 12-13 July. There may be limited scope for hacks related to peri-operative maternity care, but as an Interopen member, I'll attend with a SCATA hat on and remind the community that we need data standards for pain relief in labour, anaesthesia for operative delivery and post-delivery follow-up.

As always, we’re happy to hear from members and publicise any activities or events around digital healthcare or technology: do get in touch!

Stay safe, and see you in June.
